Doug Peters

High-energy, fun, humorous, and relatable are four words often used by others to describe Doug Peters. Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, Doug has several years of event planning and training facilitation experience obtained from working at Georgia Southern University, Oglethorpe University, University of South Carolina Upstate, and Kiwanis International’s Key Leader Program.

Outside of the world of Key Leader, Doug translates his passion for youth development through directing afterschool program initiatives for elementary, middle, and high school students. Doug received a Master of Education degree in Higher Education Administration and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Georgia Southern University. His student-centered facilitation approach derives from years of experience working with college students. Doug has an interest in mentorship, student engagement, social issues, and serving the community. He enjoys spending time with family, binge-watching the latest Netflix shows, riding the scariest of roller coasters, and traveling in his spare time.
