Brendon Burchard

Once called "the most engaging person alive," Brendon Burchard is a masterful storyteller, leadership speaker, and life coach. He is also the author of Life's Golden Ticket and The Student Leadership Guide. Brendon was blessed to receive life's golden ticket--a second chance--ten years ago after surviving car accident in a third-world country. Since then, he has dedicated his life to helping individuals, teams, and organizations create and master change. Prior to writing Life's Golden Ticket and launching his own businesses, Brendon was a change management consultant at Accenture, where his clients included JC Penney, eBay, Best Buy, Nordstrom, Levi's, Gateway, and Federal Mogul. His signature events are Life's Goldern Ticket seminars and his College Success Bootcamp.

Dr. Carol L. Clyde

Dr. Carol L. Clyde spends most of her time at Southern Methodist
University where she serves as the Director of Leadership and Community
Involvement. Carol has worked in higher education as an instructor,
developing community service programs, directing internship initiatives,
and served for a year as an AmeriCorp member. She attended college at
Radford University, The College of William and Mary and Florida Atlantic
University. Carol's hometown is Cave Creek, Arizona.

Lucy Shaffer Croft, Ed.D.

Lucy Shaffer Croft enjoys hitting golf and tennis balls in her spare time. Her professional career, though, is peppered with leadership and volunteer experiences on par with few others. She is the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs at the University of North Florida and a veteran presenter of leadership and educational workshops on a local, regional, and national level. Her volunteer experiences have included serving as Membership Development Council Vice-President for the Junior League of Cincinnati; chairing the 2003 National Association for Campus Activities National Convention; and assisting the Association of Tennis Professionals.

Jane Erickson

Known as "The Energizer", Jane Erickson brings her positive messages to audiences with a dynamic and refreshing style. With wit, warmth and humor she leaves her participants enthused and inspired, giving them practical ways to achieve personal and professional EXCELLENCE. Creative vision, sound goal setting, powerful action-oriented steps, effective evaluation, and vibrant celebration are all mainstays of Jane's programs. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Wellness Management and Physical Education and a Master's Degree in Leadership. Through her Bellevue, Nebraska-based business, The Wellness and Training Works, she provides a variety of leadership, management and personal health-related presentations, training, and workshops on a national and international basis. Combining these life experiences has given her a multitude of stories, helping her help others as they strive for workplace and personal EXCELENCE.

Jane currently serves as the President of the Kiwanis International Foundation.

Wendy Fraser

Wendy Fraser has what the hip-hop generation refers to as "street cred ." A veteran of more than 15 years experience in leadership and team development, she excels at understanding team dynamics and organizational development, and brings creative energy that is grounded in practical tools and models for her clients. She holds master's degrees in organizational leadership and human resource management, and is currently a doctoral student in human and organizational systems. In addition to maintaining a private consulting practice, Fraser is active in Kiwanis, the Pierce County Critical Incident Stress Management Team, and is a parent volunteer at her children's local elementary school.

Scott Johnson

Scott Johnson’s business acumen is almost as impressive as his Kiwanis résumé. He became part of the Kiwanis family in 1979, as a member of the Key Club at J.H. Rose High School in Greenville, North Carolina. He joined the University City Kiwanis Club in Greenville in 1987, and has served a distinguished president; Key Club district financial advisor; Key Club and Circle K district administrator; and Kiwanis district sponsored youth advisor. He was presented the Key of Honor at the 1997 Key Club International Convention. He became a Kiwanian in between earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration and an MBA from East Carolina University. He worked briefly in retail and in 1989 formed the 4 C’s Group, a consulting, management and leadership organization.

Renee Look

Adept at incorporating real-life experiences into her teaching, Renee Look has enjoyed a career in many areas of teaching and training. These include teaching high school, training a therapy dog, designing and delivering training at director of Leadership Development and Education for Kiwanis International, and designing curriculum for Indianapolis-based Eli Lilly Pharmaceuticals.

Patrick Maurer

Patrick Maurer is an entertainer, educator, and motivator. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in communication from Arizona State University. After obtaining a teaching credential from San Jose State University, he taught English at a local high school before leaving the classroom to create PMaurer Communication. He is a dynamic speaker who has presented workshops and seminars, entertaining and education audiences of all ages. Patrick is also a professional improvisational comedian performing with Comedy Sportz San Jose. His background in Kiwanis is also stellar: while in Key Club, he was a club president, lieutenant governor, and governor of the California-Nevada-Hawaii District, and was one of four out-of-state recipients of the ASU/KCI Leadership Scholarship. He currently is a member of the National Speakers Association and the Almaden Valley, San Jose Kiwanis club.

Christopher Niles

Christopher “Chris” Niles has been known to conduct workshops in full clown regalia. But there is one topic he doesn’t clown around about: leadership development. Chris is an assistant dean and the director of First-Year Programs and Student Leadership Development at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. In this role, he oversees the mentoring program that is at the heart of the university’s program for first-year students. He also serves as interim coordinator of Fraternity Affairs, and has worked in residence life, orientation, and leadership programming at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, and Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. With more than a decade’s worth of experience in designing and delivering dynamic development opportunities for both student and professional audiences, Chris’ primary focus of leadership development in his programming is highly interactive and experiential.

Forrest Perry

A familiar adage encourages entertainers to “leave ’em laughing,” but Forrest Perry is more apt to leave his audiences inspired, encouraged, and driven to make positive changes in themselves and the world around them. Hailing from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Forrest is a dynamic speaker whose presentations combine humor, real-world experiences, and an unrelenting sense of enthusiasm. With a thorough background in experiential education, Forrest takes an enthusiastic approach in using his particular understanding of group dynamics and leadership techniques to help both groups and individuals maximize their potentials. With a primary focus in the areas of youth and leadership development, Forrest currently travels the country working as an independent consultant for a variety of youth development programs and organizations.

Karen Ramos

Karen Ramos is well schooled in leading youth. As manager of the Education Abroad Program at the University of Cincinnati, she has led student groups on treks to Mexico and Italy. She also actively works with other faculty in leading students on similar experiences in studying overseas, and currently is preparing to take a group of students to China during the summer of 2006. She graduated with a bachelor of arts degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and with a master of arts degree in Spanish from the University of Cincinnati. At the Universidad de las Americas in Puebla, Mexico, she completed an intensive summer of courses in literature, culture, and Mexican history. Prior to her leadership position with the Education Abroad Program, Karen served as an associate director in the Office of Admissions for 10 years.

Brian Ritchie

If Brian Ritchie were a baseball player, he would be considered a "five-tool player." With more than 15 years of educational excellence, he has served a wide variety of audiences and disciplines.  His experience includes leadership development of high school and college students, and improving the technical skills of computer beginners and "techies" alike.  Also, he has provided conflict mediation services for student and professional groups. He is considered an energetic and perceptive presenter, adept at sharing valuable insights on teambuilding, effective communication, and organizational development.

Jennifer Robbins

Jennifer Robbins has a passion for working with students, a passion fueled by her many life experiences. A native of the suburbs of Chicago, Jennifer is a graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington, where she earned undergraduate degrees in communications and political science and a graduate degree in education (student affairs administration). But she believes it was experiences outside the classroom—working with students in residence halls and participating in student activities and leadership development programs—that prepared her for her current avocation.

Jennifer now works with The Burchard Group as the Director of Events and Marketing. She is the coordinator of Brendon Burchard’s College Success Bootcamp and various seminars, giving her experience working with students and corporate clients alike. Before serving in this role, Jennifer was the Assistant Director of The LeaderShape Institute, a 6-day intensive leadership experience for college students. She has also worked with Kiwanis International, Indiana University- Purdue University in Indianapolis and a number of individual high school and college leadership clients as a program coordinator and facilitator. Jennifer is an energy-driven facilitator who offers students a chance to learn from one another and have fun at the same time.

Nancy Short

Nancy Short is no stranger to leadership development: She’s been helping develop leaders for 19 years through her work with the YMCA. As the current director for Youth and Teen Development for the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis, Nancy has motivated and inspired thousands of young people in a variety of programs. She is a national trainer for the YMCA and interjects energy and humor in her presentations.

Kristin Skarie

Teamworks founder and managing director Kristin Skarie has refined her team-building techniques with more than 18 years of extensive development work with college, corporate, and community organizations. Her background includes higher education administration and student development in both the US and United Kingdom, plus corporate training in health care, manufacturing and retail. Her experience in student activities, residence life, and orientation has enabled her to make a tremendous impact on many college campuses. Her approach to team development emphasizes respect, listening, trust, and fun.

Kristin is also a member of the Key Leader Advisory Committee.

Heidi Olivia Tan

A dynamic approach to training and motivation coupled with her passion to touch the lives of youth, makes Heidi Olivia Tan a much sought-after facilitator. Founder of the Entrepreneurship Development Centre, one of the prominent centers for entrepreneurship training and education in Malaysia, Heidi is a well-known and highly respected trainer, motivator, and coach for personal development and corporate team-building. Under her direction, the Centre has expanded its mentorship programs through creation of The Learning Centre. Heidi is an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Kuala Lumpur, overseeing five Sponsored Youth clubs as Youth Services Director, as well serving as the project chairman for the 8th Kiwanis Youth Camp, which recently served as the first pilot project of the popular Key Leader program outside of North America.
