Key Leader with Kiwanis volunteer
Project HappinessTrick or Treat with UNICEF

Do your part

Help shape tomorrow’s leaders. By volunteering for a Key Leader weekend, you can be part of a teen’s life-changing experience. Parents, educators, Kiwanis members and advisors as well as other adults in the community are welcome and encouraged to participate. Volunteers may be asked to chaperone a group, serve a meal or help with event logistics.

We take our participants safety very seriously. All Key Leader volunteers must be 21 years of age or older and MUST consent to a criminal background check. This background check must be completed through the Kiwanis International office prior to Key Leader attendance. Please note: If you are registering four weeks or later before your event, your background check may not clear in time and you will not be able to attend the Key Leader event.

Key Leader weekends are the culmination of many volunteer hours. If you’d like to help at a weekend experience, donate food for an event or sponsor a student, email the contact for the event in your area. Find the event you're interested in learning more about and click on the contact for that event. An email window will open and a message can be typed and sent to the camp's contact person.
