INFORMATION FOR PARENTS

A life-changing leadership weekend.
Members: Any high school student

Key Leader is an inspirational weekend leadership experience sponsored by Kiwanis International for high school and graduating junior high/middle school leaders. A Key Leader conference is a weekend retreat, consisting of large-and small-group workshops, discussions and team-building activities. Students learn leadership skills that help them change their schools, communities and world for the better. It’s an experience that participants will never forget. In fact, positive interaction with other Key Leader graduates in the years that follow will amplify the experience—offering reinforcement, encouragement and the growth of leadership skills.

Since 2005, over 28,000 students have graduated from the program, gaining self-confidence, making friends and learning the joy and power of community involvement.

HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED

When students come back home, parents can support the mission of Key Leader by talking about the experience with their child. What are other parents saying about the changes they noticed? Find out on the program’s website.
